Many reports surfaced yesterday claiming that Ishaan Khatter’s ‘Pippa’ will be released on OTT, claiming that the film’s producers are having difficulty with multiplex owners. Yet, an official declaration on the subject was issued today. All such rumours have been debunked by the creators. A statement was made by producers Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, as well as Kamal Gianchandani of PVR Inox, who also represents the Multiplex Association Of India (MAI). “RSVP and Roy Kapur Films have no continuing difficulties with multiplex operators,” it says. Pippa is a film that has been developed for the big screen, and an official release date will be announced soon.” ‘Pippa,’ a biopic about Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, is based on a genuine story. Apart from Ishaan, the film is directed by Raja Krishna Menon and stars Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Soni Razdan. AR Rahman is in charge of the film’s music.
